Despite common corruption, he maintained the integrity of the Holy See. He looked for a way to
find justice in the framework of intrigues and hate.
He consecrated Emperor Louis of Burgundy. He provided his help and granted privileges to many monasteries, including the famous monastery of Fulda.
At that time, there was such widespread ignorance that bishops had to question future priests to find out if they could read.
He is buried in the Vatican Grottoes. His pontificate lasted about 3 year and 5 months.

118. Born in Ardea. Elected in July 903 - died in September of the same year.
Leo V was thrown out of the See and had to renounce in favour of Cardinal Christopher
(anti-pope). During the numerous riots he was imprisoned and murdered.
His body was burnt and the ashes thrown into the Tiber.
His remains are buried in the Vatican Grottoes. His pontificate lasted about 2 months.

119. Born in Rome. Elected in January 29, 904 - died April 14, 911.
He ordered the rebuilding of the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, which had been destroyed by
fire. He claimed and defended the rights of the Church against feudal lords.
For the first time, the coins dedicated to him have the tiara with the first crown (a sign of Spiritual Power) depicted on them (see also No. 193 and 200).

120. Born in Rome. Elected April 911 - died June 913.
During his two years of pontificate he did not do much because of existing internal disagreement.
He supported the pressure exerted by Berengarius I.
He supposedly died by poison.
