PART 5 [New Testament]
Mark 1:23-28
And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
"What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you
are, the Holy One of God." But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent, and come out of
him!" And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of
him.
And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, "What is this? A new teaching! With authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him." And at once his fame spread everywhere throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee.

Luke 4:31:37
And he went down to Caperna-um, a city of Galilee. And he was teaching them on the sabbath; and
they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority. And in the synagogue there
was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon; and he cried out with a loud voice, "Ah! What
have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the
Holy One of God." But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent, and come out of him!" And
when the demon had thrown him down in the midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.
And they were all amazed and said to one another, "What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out." And reports of him went out into every place in the surrounding region.
And they were all amazed and said to one another, "What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out." And reports of him went out into every place in the surrounding region.
Luke 13:10-13
Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And there was a woman who had had a
spirit of infirmity for eighteen years; she was bent over and could not fully straighten herself.
And when Jesus saw her, he called her and said to her, "Woman, you are freed from your
infirmity." And he laid his hands upon her, and immediately she was made straight, and she
praised God.
Matthew 4:23-24
And he went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the
kingdom and healing every disease and every infirmity among the people. So his fame spread
throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and
pains, demoniacs, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them.
Acts 8:4-8
Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word. Philip went down to a city of Samaria,
and proclaimed to them the Christ. And the multitudes with one accord gave heed to what was said
by Philip, when they heard him and saw the signs which he did. For unclean spirits came out of
many who were possessed, crying with a loud voice; and many who were paralyzed or lame were
healed. So there was much joy in that city.
Let us pray...
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle, be our safeguard against the
wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, Prince of the
Heavenly Hosts, by the Power of God, thrust into Hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl
through the world seeking the ruin of souls. AMEN!
