The Condensed Version
of
The Old and New TestamentsPURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to provide the world with a very condensed version of the Old and New Testaments which, in reality, could replace those heavy volumes which most people only talk about and seldom read.
INTRODUCTION
God gave humanity Ten Fundamental Commandments which are easy to read, understand and apply. He gave no exceptions to these Commandments because there are none. Jesus, the one and only Messiah, confirmed those Divine Laws when He said:
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish
them but to fulfill them. [Matthew 5:17]
There is a great similarity between the consequences associated with the violation of Divine Laws (Commandments) and of Physical Laws:
If they are not observed, much harm can come upon the violator. That is, breaking a
Physical Law or a Divine Law always has negative consequences.
Metaphorically speaking: The denial of the law of gravity does not prevent its effects from being manifested.
The key difference between Divine and Physical Laws is that: Only the negative consequences associated with the violation of Divine Laws can be mitigated. This is achieved through the Mercy of God.
Contrary to popular belief, God does not punish us for our transgressions. The negative consequences resulting from the transgressions of Divine Laws are just as automatic as the consequences for the transgressions of Physical Laws.
Just because an individual falls off a tree he was climbing and breaks an arm does not mean that the tree is evil or that the ground is evil or that God is punishing him. It means that the law of gravity applied and, an object above the ground will fall upon said surface once the support is lost.
Instead of a wrathful God, we have a Merciful God Who will, given the appropriate circumstances, and through an act of His Unfathomable Mercy, reduce the consequences that humans bring upon themselves as the result of their violation of Divine Law.
CONCLUSION
The contents of CHAPTERS II through VIII, although drawn from the New Testament, are amply confirmed by many examples in the Old Testament.
Therefore, CHAPTERS I through VIII contain all that we need to know from the Old and New Testaments. If we heed what they teach us, we need no further information to live and function as God intended from all Eternity and, in the end, return Home to Him.
All else, brothers are sisters, are just extra words - completely unnecessary for the fulfillment of His plans for humanity.
It IS that simple!
