Keep very much in mind that: "He knows what loneliness, desertions and solitude mean.", that "Earth's successes are not the ones He uses for the great work of His Kingdom" and that "Not until man has failed has he learnt true humility."

The most effective way to combat our own loneliness, desertions and solitude - whenever satan uses them in an attempt to derail our service to God - is to offer such feelings as a consolation to Him, Who endured it for our sake, and not because He had to.

The importance of the remedy that He prescribes through our words above is that the "loneliness, desertions and solitude" do not have to be real - satan can virtualize them within you with the hopes of bringing total despair. I know!

Now, once they - even when they are virtual - are offered as a consolation to God, satan finds himself causing, through his victim's reaction, the consolation and glorification of Jesus Christ. There is nothing that can stop satan's snares more effectively than when they are transformed into Acts of Glorification directed to God.
